Answers to the most common questions.

Is my data stored in the cloud?

+

No. Coroo keeps everything locally on your device. If you use multiple devices, you can sync them directly whenever both are on the same Wi-Fi – the data stays on the local network and never travels through outside servers.

Does Coroo work offline?

+

Your own data – spots, notes and photos – is available offline at any time. Only the map itself and the automatic location search (address lookup) need internet. So you can keep adding and editing spots without a connection; once you are back online, the map loads and location search works as usual.

What does Premium cost?

+

Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. The current price is shown in the app, as it can vary by region.

How do I cancel Premium?

+

Through the standard subscription settings in your app store (iOS: Apple ID → Subscriptions; Android: Play Store → Subscriptions).

What happens to my data if I cancel?

+

Nothing is lost. You can cancel Premium any time and reactivate it later – your spots, notes, photos and collections stay on your device the whole time. Without Premium the free-plan limits apply again, but your existing content is kept. As soon as you reactivate Premium, all Premium features are available again right away.

What happens to my data if I delete the app?

+

Because Coroo stores everything locally on your device, uninstalling the app removes all of your data – spots, notes, photos and collections – completely and irreversibly. There is no automatic backup on our servers. If you want to keep your data or move it to a new device, create a backup first or rely on your device's system backup (iCloud or Google Backup).

Can I back up or export my data?

+

Yes, in two ways. For a complete, restorable copy you create a backup – a file with all notes, photos and spots that you can restore at any time. To share or process your data, you export it as PDF or Excel. You will find both in the menu.

Are there ads?

+

No. Coroo shows no ads at all – neither on the free tier nor in Premium.

Which platforms are supported?

+

iPhone, iPad and Android. Coroo runs fine on tablets, but is not yet optimized for them – the layout is currently designed for phones. A web version is not planned.

What happens to photos during sync?

+

Photos are compressed and stored on your device's filesystem. Only changed photos are transferred during sync.
